About Tranquil Bungalows

 

Tranquil Bungalows harks back to the 1980s and 1990s with its basic fan bungalows near Nai Wok Beach. These are no-frills traditional Koh Phangan bungalows with cold water shower / toilet attached. They have a fan, mosquito net and light bulb. At the front of the bungalow is a small balcony with table and chairs.

 

Tranquil Bungalows is easily reached by road and a short distance from all the facilities of Thongsala. The resort has a restaurant, beachfront bar and has free wifi.

Accommodation

 

Tranquil Bungalows is clearly aimed for the backpacker market. There is no missing the intended target of the bungalow nomenclature - 'budget', 'basic' and 'economy'.

 

There are triple options for families and those travelling in groups of 3. All the bungalows and rooms have fans and cold water showers. For the extra money you get bigger rooms with more furniture rather than more facilities.

 

You can see the bungalow types and prices in the top right of the screen. Prices start as low as 500 Thai Baht for a budget double room and climb to 700 Thai Baht for a basic double room.

 

Resort facilities

 

Tranquil Bungalows is in a peaceful location next to the beach. It is a narrow beach and not great for swimming. The resort has a popular restaurant that serves delicious Thai food at reasonable prices. They also have on the menu Western dishes and breakfast items.

 

Next to the beach is a circular bar. In the evening its a cool place to hang out and make friends.

 

The bungalow resort has free wifi in the bungalows and in public areas. The staff are friendly and happy to deal with enquiries. There is a laundry service. Taxis can also be organised.
